A Spooky House, Panic Attack,

& Popcorn Recovery.

🍿👻

HeLlO!

My family was SO excited to visit a haunted house experience.

Me?

Not so much. My imagination goes into overdrive with these things, and nightmares tend to follow.

But I’d made a deal with the fam, so off I went!

I survived the first haunted house… only to exit and have a full-on panic attack. Gasping for air. Convinced I was going to die.

Not exactly the fun family outing I’d envisioned! 😂

Eventually, calm found me again, and I made an executive decision to skip the rest of the haunted houses and spend my time chatting with vendors and eating popcorn.

The next day, I got thinking. My mind had spent the entire experience repeating, “I don’t like this. I don’t like the darkness. I don’t like the jump scares. I DON’T LIKE ANY OF THIS!”

And I wondered… how often do we do this in everyday life?

How much fear do we create by holding on to the things we want or fighting against the things we don’t?

In this week’s writing I talk attachments and how they link to fear and love.
