Accepting emotional support coffees

You deserve some acknowledgement for all you do.

We see you! Parent running to and from-

Booking appointments.
Managing schedules.
Talking timelines.
Encouraging rehab.
Trying to stay positive.

And maybe surviving on emotional support coffees.

We know you are by her side, riding the impact wave of suddenly losing a huge part of her world.

Sports injuries and performance anxiety are no joke.

You deserve some acknowledgement for all you do! You also deserve to know how to support your daughter in a meaningful way so you aren't scrambling to try and figure it all out on your own.

So when injury happens, she is definitely not only be grieving the sport itself, but also:

  • The loss of normalcy
  • Feeling disconnected from teammates
  • Missing the version of herself that felt most confident
  • Fearing falling behind
  • Worrying about the future
  • Questioning who she is outside of performance

And sometimes, what looks like irritability, withdrawal, low motivation, or attitude is actually grief, overwhelm, fear, or loss underneath the surface.

Let's talk about the emotional and identity side of sports injury recovery and how you as a parent, can feel better equipped to be with your daughter in the part that many teen girls are silently trying to figure out.

  • Why injury can feel like an identity crisis
  • Questions teen athletes often wrestle with privately
  • Reflection prompts that can support rediscovery
  • Ways girls can reconnect with joy and confidence outside of sport
  • A reminder that healing is about more than returning to play

Your daughter is still in there underneath the injury, even if she feels different right now.

And sometimes one of the most healing things a parent can offer is not pressure, solutions, or perfect words…

But that steady presence, curiosity, and reminders that her worth has never depended on her performance.
