UNSOLICITED ADVICE:

Ah Yes, my favourite.

One little thing has somehow become THE BIGGEST THING EVER.

And you can see the spiral happening right in front of you.

So you do what any loving mom would do:

“It's going to be okay.”

“We'll figure this out.”

“Take a breath.”

And then…

😬

It doesn't work.

She's overwhelmed.

She's overthinking.

When teen girls are overwhelmed, they don't need us to convince them that everything is okay.

They need to know we have their back and to learn to find their way through the feeling when it doesn't feel okay.

And that's a skill.

One that's practiced.

In The Happiness Path, girls get opportunities to notice what's happening in their thoughts and emotions, try different strategies, and discover what actually helps them when things feel hard.

Not so they never get overwhelmed.

Not so they never worry.

But so they can begin to think:

“This feels really hard right now… and I can handle it.”

💗 The Happiness Path begins September 24.

If you're wondering whether it might be a good fit for your daughter, take a peek at the program here or simply text me (403.689.7970).

I'm happy to chat it through with you.

With gratitude,

Chantal

The mom behind the champion- So your daughter wants to compete

Why doesn't she believe it ? Hello Mom raising a teen daughter (or two, or three...)! You tell her she's beautiful. She brushes it off. You tell her you're proud of how hard she worked. She immediately starts listing everything she did wrong. You remind her she's funny, kind, talented, capable… And somehow, she still doesn't quite believe you. As moms, I think this is one of the hardest parts of raising teen girls. It's not that we don't tell them enough. It's that confidence isn't something...

...Well this is awkward*** Hello Mom raising a teen daughter (or two, or three...)! So she's doing pretty well. She has friends. She's satisfied at school. She loves her sport (or dance, or theatre, or art, or whatever her thing is). She laughs. She has fun. She seems happy. You might be wondering.... Why would she need something like The Happiness Path? And my answer is: She doesn't have to NEED it. She can simply Thrive. We don't wait until our daughters are struggling to teach them how to...

is getting a little crowded. One of the things I hear from teen girls again and again when I ask if they talk to their trusted people about what they're going through is: “They won’t understand. They have their own stuff going on.” Translation: “I’m alone in this.” Maybe it's friendship drama. Toxi comparison. A confidence dip. Big emotions. Wondering where she fits. Wondering if she's enough. The details might be different, but the feeling can be surprisingly similar. “Is anyone else...
