You don’t have to feel ready to be brave

Reader SO glad you are here & part of our raising resilient teen girls community. If you are new here WELCOME! If you've been here a while- THANK YOU for investing in the ripple effect of a confident teen girl!

When I walked across a frozen river a couple weeks ago, I noticed something important:

My mind was trying to protect me… while also kinda trying to keep me small.

Our brains are amazing at imagining everything that could go wrong. Sometimes that’s helpful. Other times it stops us from doing things that could be beautiful, exciting, or growth-changing.

Like:
• Talking to someone new
• Trying out for something
• Being honest about how you feel
• Showing the real you

I walked across the river, it was beautiful AND I did it because Fear wasn't the boss.

So whatever walking on water looks like in your life right now…
Trying something new. Being kinder to yourself. Taking a risk.

I’m cheering you on.

I'd love to know what does walking on water look like for you today?

With so much gratitude,

Chantal

Reader The other night, my son and his girlfriend were making taco dinner for us. Feeling luxury and gratitude, I was in the next room, writing this very newsletter. When I heard one of them say: “I’m putting love into every one of these.” I heard them as ... They teased each other. They sang while they cooked. They pulled my younger teen into the conversation. There was laughter, a little chaos, and a lot of warmth in the room. And as I sat there listening (and working- I swear I was working!),...

Hi Reader, A couple weeks ago, I stepped onto a frozen river with my Business Bestie. A well-traveled winter trail outside of Canmore. My nervous system however, did not care about this fact. The sound of water beneath the ice at one point was audible. The surface shimmered and shifted under my ice cleats. My Business Bestie marveled and highlighted at how wild it was to convince our minds that this was a good idea. And yet… we did it. Not because we were reckless, rather because we noticed...
