I tell her how amazing she is

Why doesn't she believe it ?

Hello Mom raising a teen daughter (or two, or three...)!

You tell her she's beautiful.

She brushes it off.

You tell her you're proud of how hard she worked.

She immediately starts listing everything she did wrong.

You remind her she's funny, kind, talented, capable…

And somehow, she still doesn't quite believe you.

As moms, I think this is one of the hardest parts of raising teen girls.

It's not that we don't tell them enough.

It's that confidence isn't something we can simply hand

to someone we love.🎁

Sometimes our daughters are carrying around an inner voice that is much louder than ours (have you got one of those voices too??!).

A voice that says:

You're not enough.

Everyone else is doing better.

Don't mess this up.

What if they judge you?

And we want to jump in and convince her otherwise, but many of us are left wondering…

How do I actually help her?

Well I'm hosting a free conversation for moms September 22-

The Mom Behind the Champion:

So Your Daughter Wants to Compete.

We'll be talking honestly about confidence, comparison, performance pressure, anxiety, and what our daughters may actually need from us when life starts feeling like one giant competition.

It's happening Tuesday, September 22 at 6:30 PM MDT, and I'd love to have you there.

And because this conversation is really about supporting our daughters, not fixing them, I also want to remind you that

The Happiness Path begins in 14 days on September 24.

The Happiness Path is a 7-week experience where teen girls get to explore confidence, friendships, self-awareness, resilience, and the tools that help them navigate big emotions and overwhelming moments while connecting with other girls in a fun and meaningful way.

One of my favourite things about the program is that it isn't about teaching girls to think they're amazing every second of every day.

It's about helping them discover:

Who am I?

What helps me?

What matters to me?

How do I move through hard things?

See you at an event soon I hope!

With grattiude,

Chantal

...Well this is awkward*** Hello Mom raising a teen daughter (or two, or three...)! So she's doing pretty well. She has friends. She's satisfied at school. She loves her sport (or dance, or theatre, or art, or whatever her thing is). She laughs. She has fun. She seems happy. You might be wondering.... Why would she need something like The Happiness Path? And my answer is: She doesn't have to NEED it. She can simply Thrive. We don't wait until our daughters are struggling to teach them how to...

is getting a little crowded. One of the things I hear from teen girls again and again when I ask if they talk to their trusted people about what they're going through is: “They won’t understand. They have their own stuff going on.” Translation: “I’m alone in this.” Maybe it's friendship drama. Toxi comparison. A confidence dip. Big emotions. Wondering where she fits. Wondering if she's enough. The details might be different, but the feeling can be surprisingly similar. “Is anyone else...

I've got a pocket, got a pocket full of.... Courage. Thanks Natasha Bedingfield for inspiring me with your pockets full of sunshine. What does courage mean to you? Brave. Confident. Ready. But what if courage can come along with fear? With nerves. Uncertainty. With “I'm really not sure about this…” Because courage isn't always a roaring lion. 🦁 It's that (sometimes tiny) encouraging voice saying: “Okay. Let's try.” So I've created a little gift for your teen daughter. 🎴 Make Your Own Courage...
